PhD program „Medical Research Oral Sciences“
at the Dental School of the LMU
The PhD course „Medical Research Oral Sciences“ is an academic and educative program for promoting research activities on oral health related issues especially for young scientists who are planning a career at a university or dental research centre. The program is open to any natural scientists (dentists, physicians, biologists, chemists, pharmacists, health professionals, etc.) of any nationality, that share our interest and involvement in oral health related research. The PhD program does, therefore, not imply any restrictions on personal interests, age or nationality. However, please note the following minimum eligibility requirements:
- Succesfully completed medical school degree, or university bachelor and master, or adequate equivalent at the time of application
- Minimum total of 3 years university education
- Sufficient funding, since the dental school does not offer any research funding
- Proficient knowledge of English language
After submission of the complete application-form, the candidates will be notified about the decision of the selection board. The end of the application period with closure of the registration is July 15th of each year. After that, the selection board will evaluate all applications. Notifications will be delivered around October. In case of any interest we encourage you to visit the dental school at the LMU in advance.
